Inventor 2010 flexnet license error!

In the common course of first activation, a liceseing screen screen will show before the main program.
But I click the inventor icon on the desktop, nothing happens!
I insert a system variable:FLEXLM_DIAGNOSTICS and valued it as 3
I got the folloing msg:
Checkout error returned from FLEXnet:No such feature exists.
FLEX Feature: INVPRO_F_S
License path:
FLEXnet Licensing error: -5, 357

I have uninstalled all the parts of inventor 2010 professional suits , cleaned all autodesk items in the registry
and reinstall inventor 2010, but it didn't help!

my computer is thinkpad x200
and the system is xp x86 with 4G ddr3-1066 ram

anybody can solve this problem?HELP! Edited by: perhaps on Jun 16, 2009 4:18 PM

Did you configure LMTOOLS as using a service or a license
file?

yes, I also installed ansys and nastran in my computer.
They are using LMTOOLS as license manager.

But I don't find any license manager during installation of inventor.

According to successful installation, I will input the activation code in the first time.
but the license screen did'nt show.

Hi,

Did you install Inventor with Standalone
license(default selection) or Network license(need to input server name when you
configure Inventor)?

if it is standalone, after you click the shortcut
of Inventor, open task manager, can you see Inventor.exe process
started?

if it is network license, you have to install
LMTools from Tools and Utility, you can find it on the first launch page after
you start setup.exe.then get a network license from Autodesk and import
LMTools.

To add to Kevin's reply. If you have a network version and you
have FLEXLM version 10.8 or above, you should be able to add the Autodesk .lic
file as a separate service on the same Flex server.

If you need more assistance with netowork licensing
of ANY Autodesk product, go to the autodesk.autocad.network discussion
group.

then "flexible license manager" window will pop up and tell me flexnet licensing check out error
seconds later a system warning sound "bang"
and inventor.exe process will disappear.

Yes it is critical. So is turning off th UAC. I would not have
listed them if they were not critical steps.

BTW, I run Avast! on my xp64 , and I always turn off all
Avaste services before any install.

Can you provide full system specs on your laptop - Make,
model, Total RAM, CPU, Graphics Card and Graphics drive version, OS version and
Service Pack level, All windows hotfixes and updates installed?

Did you do a complete uninstall of Inventor 2010 prior to
attempting the reinstall, including deletion of entries in Program files,
Documents and Settings > All users and your username?

This problem has been resovled!
legacy_autodesk_licensing_service and Autodesk licensing service must be deleted before any re-installation.
For a start I got a .bat file from regscanner to delete all keys with "autodesk" and "inventor 2010" automatically and failed N times after re-installtion. Then I got some help from GOOGLE that legacy_autodesk_licensing_service(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\)
would NOT be deleted if u don't change its permission to "FULL CONTROL"(EVERYONE) (right mouse, permission)

thx a lot all the same!
