How to add material thickness to a face?

Hi all,
How can I add a material thickness to a face trimmed from IGES file?
I have a surface imported from IGES file, then trimmed to a single face in IV that I would like to materialize.
I tried times for thickness, but IV doesn't like it.
Neither can I apply Shell for part, nor thickness adding from Sheet metal.
It is a 3D Lofted surface, very simple single one.
Any thoughts, please advise.
Best Regards,
Wayne

Thicken/Offset
(how would Shell give you thickness of a surface?)

You didn't indicate the thickness of the material, but use the Sheet Metal Lofted Flange tool (see attached).

Thanks for the work on the demo part. Unfortuately, I am still using Inventor 2012. So the file you attached I cannot open.
By the way, we can assume the material is 12GA, 0.1046".
Thanks again, Prof. JD.
