    HI All

    Inventor 2013 LT

I'm trying to extrude the "Extrusion 17.9 dia hole -3 deg hole" CUT to the

outside of the next feature but after hours of trying it either breaks though the first wall thickness (As Model Attached) or goes through completely. More/Minimum is greyed out ?

Any help/advice appreciated, please bear in mind im a newbie inventeror learing from online tutorials

    when replying.

    Thanks in advance

    Something like this?

If yes, then next time delete all the extraneous stuff that confuses what the actual problem is.

If no, more information is needed.

Wow no thats exactly what i want thankyou so much.

On one of my attempts i thought the i tryed moving the end of part up to the shell

with no luck, only thing is i don't understand why the minimum solution is greyed out

on mine and is usable on your example.

    Thanks again

Did you see where I moved the EOP up and created a 0 distance offset surface?

I used the surface body for the termination of the Extrude feature, not the solid body feature.

Drag the red End of Part marker to just below the Loft feature.  (it is best to create a surface like this as soon in the history as possible.

Click the Thicken/Offset tool on the Surface tab and select the 3 faces that will terminate the extrusion.

    Set the Output to Surface.

    Set the Distance to 0

    OK

Drag the red EOP marker down to the Extrusion and edit the extrusion.  Set the termination To the surface body.

You can now turn off the visibility of the surface body and drag the red EOP back to the bottom of the feature tree in the browser.
