I work sometimes with expanded, perforated and welded mesh sheet. Is there a
simple way I can create a sheet metal material of each or download from
somewhere?

Inventor has built-in textures for a lot of those... your mass properties
for the metal won't reflect the holes in the material, but you can override
the mass or create a material whose density is, say, 50% of what it really
is to account for the holes.
