Well what do you know they don't work !!!
I have hundreds of parts that I have updated from 5.3 with embedded
spreadsheets in them and they will not update
when you change the spreadsheet.
I tried creating a new file with a new embedded spreadsheet. The variable
values do come into the variable table
and you can use them in you part file but when you change the value in the
spreadsheet the value of the variable does not update.
What is going on here ???

Autodesk knows about this. Let's hope that SP1 will solve this.
