    Embedded AutoCad File

O.K., I've inserted an embedded Autocad File that I've created using a
raster image I'm tracing over. (This is not going to be fun!) How do I now
work with the embedded image in Inventor? Embarrassing enough, I mean,
where is the image? The link between the 2 works fine, but now I've got to
get this thing to work in Inventor. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

In Inventor, create a new sketch (or an old one). In sketch mode there
is a button in the panel bar for image. Pick it then open your bitmap
image. It will come in as a rectangle which can be dimensioned and
rotated. To get precise sizing, overdraw lines on it over known
distances then dimension the image rectangle to match. You can now use
this to sketch on top of. You don't need AutoCAD to do this anymore.

One word of warning: Don't make the image invisible or you will never
get it to be visible again. You can make the sketch which consumes it
    invisible though.
