Dimension spacing when using "Automatic Dimension" in sketch mode

Is there any way to automaticly space dimesions when using this command? I use this thing a lot and i end up getting what you see in the attached pic (granted this is extreme given the text boxes). Then i have to individually pick each dim and drag to where i want it.

Automatic Dimensioning does dimension the sketch, but most oftern does not
preserve any design intent. I never use it except to locate a missing
dimension of constraint quickly. I then Undo and place the dimension
manually.

Never use it. From what I can see you should investigate Feature Patterns rather than sketch patterns, or break up your sketches in to multiple sketches.
