I did a search and couldn't find this question asked.

When we do DWG we may have more than one Assembly on one individual DWG. When going to put the weights on the DWG throught the text/Physical Property insert yadayada it keeps referring back to the original assembly. Even after changing which component we want the info to be drawn from, it refers back to the original? Are we not doing this right? Program glitch? Not possible?

I expect it works the same way as partlist/balloons and pulls the information from the first view model.

I don't know if this will work but you might try a balloon style with a mass property then attach to the assembly you require, although more than likely it will pull the mass of the part it is attached to in that assembly.

To get this I think you would need a view rep of the assembly as placed in the parent.

Probably another case for one part/drawing or one assembly/drawing.

Hi,

this problem can by solved by using "Leader Text". "Text" is always related to first inserted view, "Leader Text" is related to the selected view.

Is there a way to pick out the individual assemblies by using this method? For example we may have 1 assembly made up of 3 other assemblies, each of those made up of "x" amount of parts. When I use this leader method it will only give me the weight of the individual part, not of one of the main three assemblies. Even tried changing the compenent to that assembly and still just gives me the weight of the channel instead of of the full frame.
