Detail View Label Location is a Pain

Most of the time when I create a detail view of a part the detail boundary
is smaller than the main view boundary. The problem is when I try to move
the detail view label letter it is almost impossible to pick it to move it.
I have to grab a handle on the detail boundary and drag it way bigger than
the main view then rotate my label then shrink everything back down. Is
there a simple way to do this or just quit whining and keep doing it the way
    I am?
    Please use plain text.

Forgive the obvious, have you tried zooming in? Try moving your mouse
cursor towards the letter from a 45° angle, either above or below the text.
Can't think of any other tricks offhand.
