    Custom Machine

Looking for advice on how to set up a design for a custom machine. I have a
custom machine that has a variable infeed and a variable discharge for each
job release. Basically the machine has a round 100 parts and for each job
release about twenty five parts will change each time. The twenty five
parts will always be different. Any suggestions on how I should do this.

I guess you'd probably have to change the 25 parts! Are you implying
that there is an infinite variation of parts, i.e. could be anything someone
dreams up or is there a limited number of configurations for whatever goes
in and out? If there is a limited number of configurations that are
different but similar you could make custom iParts. Other than that you
could probably make a template and start with that.

How could I handle the idw drawings that must have a new drawing numbers
    each time.

    Tim,

Make the parts that do not change reference parts.

They will not show up in the BOM's and will have phantom lines in .idw
    files.

    Hope this helps
