Is it me, but I just cannot get the copy model properties to function. Followed the help file but still at a loss as to why it will not copy the model properties to the drawing properties. I used to use the custom properties copy utility from C.Bliss but this doesnt seem to work now either with INV6. So how do I copy over the model mass to the dwg? Any help would be appreciated

To get model properties into the drawing first create a view (any IPT or IAM will do as long as it contains the properties (custom or otherwise) that you require) in your IDW template. Edit your titleblock definition and using "Property Field" add your required drawing / model properties. Once finished, delete the view you placed and save the IDW template. Because there are no model properties (no model to get them from) the titleblock fields will be blank, but when you place your first view they will then have something to reference. As far as the model mass is concerned there is no way I know of to reference it in the IWD except for "iProperty Collection V1.1" from http://hjem.get2net.dk/opad/ This works a treat and also fills in other attributes automatically aswell (scale etc)

Thanks Matt.
Tried that and it seems to work quiet well. But went to the site as suggested and downloaded the "iProperty Collection V1.1" installed it and now hey presto every thing is now screwed up. When I load IV and look into "Tools/addins" nothing "Tools/Macros.... nothing . Try and change projects and "Poof" exit. Tried to uninstall as suggested and no different, Whats happened ? and how can I get back to where I was.

Nope, dont see a thing. Something has reeeeely screwed up. As every time I press Projects on the startup screen it crashes, exits and I get this message in the log
' Crash Information
' ACCESS_VIOLATION
' Build: 106c Release: 6 SP1 - Date: Sun 11/10/2002
' Last command completed
' Last request completed
' Call Stack: Address = 1 MFC42u.DLL 0x0000555A
tried rebooting clearing all temp files, uninstalling the offending program nothing works.
Any suggestions?

If there is NOTHING in the Add-Ins then there is a
serious problem. Might try a repair install from the AIS
CD...

Looks like I will have to as loads of other stuff have stopped working as well. By the way the design assistant doesnt work either. Although it was never very clever and slow with IV6 it must be my setup. Will keep you posted but have you received any other conflicts or problems relating to Iproperties V1.1

I did not write the program. This one is
Patrick's but I don't see how it could be responsible for what you are
saying. It might be time for a reinstall of Inventor...
