Controlling What Items are Shown in Parts List

I have common parts (custom frame member) that I use repeatedly in assemblies that I don't need to show in a parts list.  Is there a way to control this so they don't show up in a parts list?  Currently I go into the parts list and turn them off before exporting the list.

    Hi SteveFrey,

If you set the component's BOM Structure to Phantom or Reference, it will not list in the Parts List. Keep in mind that this will change the BOM Structure for that file, in all assemblies it is used in.

You can set the BOM structure to Reference per assembly however , if you right-click on it in the browser and choose Component > BOM Structure > Reference.

    I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
