    Hi,

Inventor pro 2013 - how do I change the color of a part.

Inventor 2012 had a menu called Color Override that I can't find now.

    Thanks

    Alon

You can change by part, by body, by feature or by face.

Should be the same as in 2012.

Can you attach file here or at least screen capture of your browser?

The biggest difference, in 2013 as it has really been split into Material and Appearance. Material will have a standard stock appearance, but contains the physical properties of the material. Whereas the appearance only contains the finish of an item.

As JD stated, they are still applied the same way.

Are you wanting to change the color of a part in an assembly, or in the part file?

In an assembly, select the part (not face or subassembly), then choose the Appearance you want from the dropdown at the top of the screen.  In a part file, with nothing selected, or the entire part selected in the browser, choose the Appearance as above.

    Hi there

I hope it's ok to drop a remark here, instead of making yet another post.

What if the scenario is a welded assembly that ends up being painted or galvinized? I would like to select same color override option as in parts. Can it be done?

    Best Regards

    Morten
