    Blending a miter

I am creating part files for one of our machines, and have no idea how to proceed with making a smooth transition on the bevel, like it is showing on the print from our customer.

What would be the best way to accomplish this?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi sps_cad_guy,

Attached is a quick example file. You didn't mention the version of Inventor you're using so I did this in Inventor 2010 (that's as far back as I can go at this point), so I hope you can use the file.

I've used two methods in this file, one for when the blend exceeds the chamfer size and one for when it doesn't. There are probably some other solutions as well, but this is the approach that I use.

    I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
    Curtis

Thank you Curtis. That was exactly what I've needed to do.
