Balloons in idw's

I am doing a drawing for our manual. I have created an exploded iso view
with a presentation file, then made a idw from the presentation file. Is
there anyway to have the part number in the ballons instead of the item
number?
If not in 5.3, what about V6.0?
This would allow me to not have to have the Bill of Materials and I think it
would make the drawing clearer.

nVidia v6.13.10.4041
1280x1024, 32 Bit

In 6 you can specify a property field as a balloon. But it's not a balloon,
look more like a leader with text.
