im new to vba but know lisp and inventor decently well.

i think this should be simple but am unable to figure it out.

can someone write me a simple piece of code that can

select an edge of a part and tell me the length.

Will the user be manually selecting the edge?

If so, does the measure tool not meet your requirements? Or do you need to do something with the measurement once you have it?

yes i wanted to manually select the edge and use the length to create and place an  i part.

i figured out how to select the edge and am currently trying to get the length.

thanks for responding but now that im starting to get an idea i think i can figure it out in time
