    Thickening from surface

    Hi there,

For sheet metal we were used to make a solid model from witch we generated the metal scheets by the funktion thickening. We always made a new part by deriving the solid model as work surface (translucent). From this model we made the plate (sheetmetal) by thickening and could chouse the needed material.
This functionality is not possible in Inventor Pro Suite 2011.
Please let me know if we missed something or if you also miss this functionality in 2011.

    Waiting for your soon reply.
    With kind regards,

    Bas van der Pol
