    Why not put into AutoCAD?

    What about putting the ability to fill layers with hatches as well as
    any bitmaps into AutoCAD.
    The reason is, you get more flexible. You don't need to put things from
    AutoCAD to do sth into Impression and meanwhile some changes in AutoCAD
    make it neccessary to begin once again.

    Really it would be great if the whole thing was integrated into AutoCAD...

    ... Though I guess AutoDesk want to make money out of it as a separate product.

    Because it's now a subscription benefit. If you're on subscription. You get Impression for free. I suppose it could sell more subscriptions.
