Any new news on having the ability to update NEW layers created in the CAD drawings?

As a follow-up:  We often change site plans in AutoCad (as many of us do) after we've created the initial Impressions drawing.  Is there is a good way to have the Impressions drawing update like XREFS do in AutoCad?
