I mainly use Impression for doing plans of roadways, and one of the problems we've been having is the programs inability to handle spiral curves with dashed properties for lane lines. Using the dashed properties for a stroke in impression does not agree with the large amount of vertexes in a sprial (even though it is one complete object) so a roadway using them ends up having a dashed paintline with assorted areas showing a solid line.
AutoCAD handles this problem with an option in the properties under "Misc" called Linetype generation, and enabling it allows a linetype to continue through any vertexes in a polyline on a continuous basis, rather than stopping at each vertex. If this could be used in Impression as well it would really help, as right now I need to go back to the CAD file and "fake" a sprial with arcs, then reconnect the segments into one polyline to ensure one continuous linetype along the whole road.
Thanks
Brent

This is definitely a wish of mine, as well, so I figured I'd show my support!
I am mainly using Impression for rendering development plans and have run in to many instances where I found myself wishing I could turn LineType Generation on for a particular style, the most common being property boundaries that have short jogs and arcs or compound curves.

I'll throw my 'me too' into the ring.
I also work on Land Development/Subdivision renderings. We have linetypes set up for Sanitary and Storm Sewer in cad, which when brought into Impression, are just solid lines. Those and my treeline linetype.
So PLEASE give us the capability to use our linetypes or the ability to import out the .lin file into Impression!

Hello,
I support this request. I also want to import (complex) linetypes to impression. Now I use the wmfout / wmfin as a workaround, but this is not perfect.
I have just finished my first "impressive" plans. Impression is cool. ADSK please develop the program further.
