Reference Impression drawing in to AutoCAD

This isn't really for Impression but for AutoCAD.

I would like to be able to reference an Impression file in AutoCAD.

Why? I created an autocad drawing, then ran some Impression styles on it. Now I would like to import that back to my sheetset as a new figure. In this case I just wanted a title border around my new artisitcly attractive image that I created in Impression. I realize I could pull in the border in to impressions but I would like to have the sheet set still in control of that title border.

What about saving the impression rendering as a jpeg that could be xrefed into your drawing set? Each time you update the impression rendering jpeg, that could update the xrefed rendering in your set.

I guess it is pretty easy to make a JPG file. Thanks for the reply.

only difficulty i could see would be the jpeg file would have to be rotated & moved to align with the original CAD linework. Also the entire square canvas from Impression would be referenced; which may obscure the CAD linework surrounding the image area.

Remember you can image clip the image to cut down the size once alligned. You can also use draw order to send the image back underneath the linework.
