    Trouble with Design FastView

    Hi,

    I'm trying to use Design FastView with Win 2k and Java version 1.3.1_04 but when I run "cachemgr refresh" an error occurs.
    Database tables for FastView are created, and themes are also configured.
    Here a short listing of the output :

    /*** snip ******************
    D:\GIS_Design_Server\Cache>java -ms8m -mx64m -cp ";E:\PROGRA~1\Autodesk\GISDES~2/java/lib/cachemgr.jar;E:\PROGRA~1\Autodesk\GISDES~2/java/lib/classes12.zip" com.shl.gis.cachemgr.cachemgr refresh

    The directory is created but the nac files are empty
    It's strange I can run "sync" with no error also the defined
    port is up. If I trying to get an connection via Client Components, I can see the existing themes in debug mode and set one or more active but at the time of the "ConnectCacheMgrServer" command Map exits without any error messeges.

    Any ideas ? I hope so.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    the generation problem is solved, it was an ftp problem with the root directory, but I still get no graphic output in map.
    The ftp connection is established and the .bits file
    is transfered to the client, but when map try to read any
    tile file I get an error message.
    Map try to read in d:/cache//new_theme/ and I don't have
    any idea for what reason this double slash appears.
    I run on Win NT,
    mFileserv.LocalDirectory = "D:/cache"
    theme.Name = "new_theme"

    Thanks in advance

        Hi,

        We have found the same problem
    than you.

        We are working on W2k (both
    client and server), and the symptom is the same: a double slash ("//") that
    appears inside the location string, so the .bits file is not found.

        The messages that we are getting
    through Info event for AeCmClient class are:

    INFO:
    class=642224914-03102002>m
    CacheMgr::Info
    class=642224914-03102002>"

    class=642224914-03102002>m
    CacheMgr::Info
    class=642224914-03102002>"
    Reading tiff bitmap:

    c:/proyectos/cache//ATMT/theme.bits
    class=642224914-03102002>"

    size=2>

    face=Arial>    "c:/proyectos/cache" i
    class=642224914-03102002>s the value for
    mCacheMgr.LocalDirectory.

    class=642224914-03102002>    "ATMT" is for
    mTheme.ThemeName.

        We have tried with "/" and "\",
    and the error is the same.

        Has anybody already solved this problem?

        Thank-you,

    Antoni Mena.

    Hi,

    Just in case you have yet solved this problem, you may try to configure your W2K FTP service to use UNIX style directory listings...

    Hope it helps...
