    Moving rules database to Oracle

    Hi,

We are trying to integrate the rules database with Oracle.

After changing agds.ini in order to point to an ODBC entry that is
configured to access Oracle, we have modified the generic application login
component not to modify the ODBC definition.

When we load the generic application, an error raises:
".\Dbimpl\Odbcimp.cpp: 290: Driver error (...) No password specified; login
    denied".

There is no way to specify the user password in the ODBC entry and we
have not found Odbcimp.cpp source code anywhere.

It seems that neither the generic application nor rules editor are
prepared to ask to the user and send to the database server the username and
    password.

How should the system be configured in order to allow to have rules
tables in Oracle, not in .mdb?

    Thank-you,

    Antoni Mena.

The Generic Application out of the box does not ask to the user password and send the username to the database server. In order to do this you will need to change the Source Code.
Autodesk GIS Design Server customers can download the Source Code from our web site.
