I am currently using Inventor 2008 with AutoCAD 2008. I would like to export / import an Inventor assembly (.iam) to ArcGIS Explorer. Using IGES, I have exported my Inventor assembly to 3D AutoCAD. The MKSHAPE command has made a SHAPE file, but I am at a loss as to how to define the spatial coordinates of the SHAPE file for ArcGIS Explorer to read. Also, is there a way for the 3D model to be in the ArcGIS for elevation views?
