I am trying to export a dwg showing a road alignment from AutoCad Map 5 to a MapInfo 6.6 TAB format. My problem is that once exported into TAB the road alignment does not seem to go to the right coordinates and ends up in the completely wrong part of the country. I have followed the instructions in Help but I am still experiencing the same difficulties.
These are the steps I have taken to create the TAB file:
1. Map/Tools/Assign Global coordinate system
- Assigned “ITM” coordinates
2. Map/ Tools/Export
- Under the “Options tab” I changed the coordinate system to ITM
Does anybody know if there anything else that I have to do? To make it more frustrating it HAS worked once before on a different project…….must have been beginners luck!
Cheers
