    Hi all,

Someone has idea of how GIS "communicate" with tools like Visual Basic
    (OCXs,DLLs,...)?
    Please use plain text.

    Hi Joao

I am assuming that you are refering to the client extension to the Autodesk
    GIS Design Server (AGDS).

The AGDS client extension essentially consists of different layers of COM
objects (OCXs,DLLs,...) built on top of Autocad Object ARX and hosted within
the Autocad Map environment to communicate with and uses the services
    provided by the AGDS server.

There are plug-in interfaces for users to develops thier own GUI COM
components and also lower level services COM components on top of the AGDS
    client extension for customization purposes.
