Hi Scott,
(As per my direct email to you) it appears you have missed AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008 / 2009.
The LDC product ships in the box with Civil 3D but is a separate install from (either) Civil 3D proper (or Land Desktop proper).

Thanks. I have forwarded this information onto the developer. Our installer
is looking for certain registry keys. The Companion must create something
different.
