Structures from Architecture to Inventor?

Hi,

is possible to convert structures like walls, stairs, windows created in architecture to the Inventor 3D factory model? If i send dwg from architecture to Inventor i can see 3D models of machines but structures made in architecture only in wire model.

Hi there,

The answer is yes. The workflow should be like this:

1,Covert Architecture stuff like Wall, Windows, etc to 3D solid by CONVERTO3DSOLIDS command in AutoCAD Architecture

2,Import it into Inventor as factory asset by Import  DWG Solids in Factory Inventor

Thanks,

Please mark as a solution if somehow I got it right.
