NavisWorks 2014 SP1 Notice

Do not install service pack 1 for navisworks 2014

the service packs causes navisworks to instantly crash to an Autodesk CER

this seems to only effect navisworks from the factory design suite 2014

i tested the service pack on a non suite version of navisworks 2014

and navisworks from the building design suite 2014 the crash does not happen

The Factory team is working on a Hotfix for this issue.

another issue that came up that only affects factory design suite

Wouldn't it be nice if Autodesk at least put something in the SP install that would check for a FDS install and STOP the install before it breaks other programs.  Another example, AutoCAD SP2 if it "sees" Plant 3D, then DON'T install.  Instead, we have to break something, then try to figure out why and then start the uninstall process.

Hi Dennis, Thank you for the great suggestion and sorry for the inconvinience of uninstalling the package when found the breaks. NW SPs are intended to work on any Navisworks whereever it is from. However if there is similar break issue, we would consider the blcok of install to avoid inconvinience. Thanks, Irene
