Impossible to install Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2012

Hi,

Can anybody help me resolve the install issue I meet with Autodesk Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2012 on my PC?

The installation starts normally but it can't keep on after a few moment. It stops immediately without any error code displayed, the PC shuts down and restarts.

Result: No software is installed on the PC.

The fact appens systematically each time that I try to install only Autodesk Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2012.

My PC Configuration: HP Pavilion dv7

Windows Vista Home Premium Edition SP2 x32

                                 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz

                                 3 Gb RAM

I really need help.

Hi,

Could you provide the install log “Autodesk Factory Design Suite Ultimate 2012 Setup.log” under %tmp% path? It's very useful for us to help you track the reason.

Hi -

Thanks for the response with the log files. Unfortunately, these may not provide sufficient detail to have a better sense of what's happening. Are there also other log files in %TEMP% with nearby date/time stamps that you can also send? These represent the lower-level actions being taken by the installer.

One question: Have you disabled User Account Control on your machine? Also, how much disk space is available on your system drive?

Thanks,

  Jeff

Hi Jeff.

I've zipped the files that have been generated nearly at the same time as the log file I sent previously to you.

You have to download this zip file at this address: http://demo.ovh.com/fr/8255f3dddccfd8e85b32f2b88b43820e/

The attached picture shows the free space I have on my PC.

One answer Smiley Very Happy I haven't disabled any user account control anywhere.

Please answer me a.s.s.p.

Thanks,

Kakael

Thanks for the extra info.

Based on some information from some of the logs, could you please disable User Account Control (as recommended in the release notes, I believe), and retry the installation?

Thank you,

  Jeff

Hi.

I have disable the User Account Control as you advised. And I have been trying already twice, without success, to install the software FDSULT2012. I noticed that, before the PC's shutdown, an error code appears briefly: error 1719. I'm searching solutions for this error code. But I expect you bring me new solutions.

I 'm trying also to send you the Temp zipped directory.

Thanks.

Hi again -

Sorry you're still having problems.

That's the error I saw too. Using a Google search, I found several articles that mention this error. Here's one that provides a suggested solution: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/error-1719-windows-insta...

It seems like some sort of general installer service problem on your machine.

Hope this helps,

  Jeff

Hi Jeff.

At the web address you suggest, the "Most Helpful Reply" talks about the key WOW64 in the registry database (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENT CONTROL SET\SERVICES\MSIserver\WOW64).

The key doesn't exist in the registry database of my PC. So I can't apply the solution suggested by raybo1226.

What can I do?

Kakael,

As mentioned earlier this appears to be a Windows Installer issue. Google turns up a number of discussion threads relative to Windows Installer issue resolution for Vista Home. Here are a few I have found:

http://www.wisefixer.com/lp/?kw=error-1719&gclid=CMmC-IKOxasCFQoZQgodeDiwzw

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistasetup/thread/3b16ca72-601e-4a73-9e42-8780...

http://www.ehow.com/how_6811726_correct-error-1719-windows-vista.html

Have you attempted these proposed resolutions?

Regards,

Joe
