Hi,

is it possible to create assets in FDS standard 2013?

In FDS premium with Inventor its easy with the asset builder, but in standard there is no asset builder or is it possible to create assets manually? e.g. create the family.xml, LocaleMap.de-DE.xml and alle the other folders and files.

Hi -

You need to use Premium or Ultimate if you want to be able to create assets with Inventor.

One alternative is to use our newly-released Upload capability as part of the Factory Asset Warehouse, available from http://factorywarehouse.autodesk.com.

This provides a limited-scope upload/publishing capability, which can handle pre-created Inventor models, or a variety of other model formats.

No "authoring" (e.g., landing surface, connector, variants) is available from the Asset Warehouse web application. Also, you're only able to publish to the Cloud -- no local publishing is available.

Thanks for your question!
