object enabler issue

Still tinkering with my trial of 2014 Fabrication CADmep. I drew a small piping layout in 2014 Fabrication CADmep, and saved it as a 2010 dwg file. When I opened it in my 2012 AutoCAD vanilla, nothing shows up. But they are there, if I do a "select all", it says there are 6 proxy entities. Went to load the 2014 object enabler in 2012 version, but it won't install from download site- "might conflict with already installed features", which i see is a problem in other discussion threads. Not sure what step to take next?

Hi cadbud3,

For AutoCAD 2012 you will need the legacy object enabler (OESetup.exe), available here - http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=19685000&linkID=19406490

The enabler for AutoCAD 2014 has already been installed as part of the main application and just needs loading, hence the conflict message, more info in this Knowledge Base article for CADmep 2013/same principle for 2014 - http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=19416959&linkID=9240617

Thank you very much. Worked to perfection! Looking forward to learning more about this new program. We use QuickPen's PipeDesigner 3D with AutoCad 2012 at the present time, and have been looking into possible alternatives.

thanks again
