I am doing research on the energy consumption profile of residences. Applying insulation to roofs and walls which decreases their U-Value, reduces the energy consumption as expected while, insulating floor has completely negative effect on heating and cooling load and increase them significantly. What can be the reason behind?

I tried to upload files but .ECO extensions are not acceptable!!! I tried .XML files but material assignments are not properly exported.
If you draw any simple zone, assign ConcFlr_Carpeted_Suspended as floor type analyze it then, assign ConcSlab_OnGround as floor tyoe which has comparatively low U-Value, you will see that the annual energy consumption increases surprisingly.
