Why we are not able to insert in-text images (screenshots)...

Why we are not able to insert in-text images (screenshots) anymore with our posts?

I’m wondering why the function that enables inserting in-text images is not there any longer on the forum. Is this an enhancement?!

    Best

Due to some spam issues we removed the ability to use .htm and .html attachments in the forums

We also restricted the use of simple HTML in post and signatures in roles of Active Contributor or below but this should not prevent screen shots from being added to the text as in the example below

So, how is this done, exactly?  There used to be a command next to the font options, but it is no longer there.  I tried to just drag and drop an image into my reply.  It appeared to work at first, but when I tried to post the reply, it said that it was invalid and it removed the image.

I use images all the time to help explain a question or answer.  As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and I think a thousand words would probably exceed the limit for a post...

Of course, we can still attach images, but it's much better to be able to insert images in the body of a post.

The OP is missing the HTML tab at the top of the posted screenshot as well.

Inadvertant removal of options from Distinguished Mentors during the Spam fiasco perhaps?

A friend of mine in Kenya took that photo.  I think he said it was at a metal guillotine machine in a workshop.  I think it applies just as much to the machine that I work with all day too!
