Own that BOOKMARK button by customizing it, instead of wasting time wishing it goes away. See the first reply in the following thread on how to do just that:

What was that movie with Kevin Costner "Company Men"?

    What we need is SYNERGY!!!!

The funny thing is the buttons seem to form the word F'ing Bookmark.

Don't they know this is a family site?

I may have to click on that Report Inappropriate Content link.

I think that may have invalidated your own point about why it shouldn't be necessary...

Not at all. My one-line sig takes up not one more pixel of vertical space because it's followed by a couple of links. While we're on that subject, I'd like to see sigs limited to, say, 2 lines...

I see that they fixed the length the bookmarks stayed "open."  Thanks AutoDesk.  (Though it still would be nice to hide them or put them someplace different!)

Now I don't even see the bookmark button/icon!

Dean's sig for example, it states to share this with someone just click on a button below, now looks out of place.

Like I stated before, I have no idea what I've done to Firefox, but like the fact I'm not seeing these social network buttons!

Can someone explain how something good can come of using the SM buttons?

Heck, we get email notification of replies, and can send anyone a message link, what else do we need?

I don't use twitter, but do facebook here and there. Its useful for keeping tabs on my old high school cross country team's annual reunion race. Its not useful for impressing my relatives with some adesk dg post?

Am I just socially clueless by not seeing the need for the buttons? Fire away please.

    You crotchety ol' dog. :smileytongue:

Don't you know that you have to be social to work now?

Remember when the FAX machine was useless?

actually my kids are aware of fb amd twit' but only use instagram now.

Besides texting, people just want to see and comment on photos.

I could instagram a few screenshots of some road I designed, but then how would I fight off the crowds of women that would break down the doors just trying to get a glimpse of me in my office? I'd never survive that.

So I save those posts for this dg. The women have not attacked yet so we don;t want to ruin that with social networking.
