Since Sunday I'm not able to log in using Firefox 8.0.  I get the following message:

    Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request

    Explanation

The server us unable to service a request because a needed resource is unavailable.

    Solution

    Please try again later

    Any ideas?

Internet Explorer works but I keep getting pop ups directing me to the Autodesk Store or asking for feedback, etc.  Very spam like.

Could you attach a few screen shots of the errors and popups  (both FF and IE)?   We did have some downtime for registration systems over the weekend, but your scenario doesn't seem like something that system maintenance would have affected.

    Hi Eric,

I'm attaching two png files showing the error message in Firefox as well as a typical popup from IE.   The popups are very random.  They can occur while entering a discussion thread or while entering a discuasion group and in this case I tried entering several groups and reading a half dozen or so threads until this one popped up.  Other times, however, I can get two in a row.  They tend to vary between what you see, an invitation to fill out a survey asking how often I visit the Autodesk site, and a popup that takes me to the Autodesk store.

    Thanks for you help,

    John

Thanks. Can you also confirm how you are getting to the forums (steps to produce the error).  The URL on the error .png is from our sign in system, but not the same I see when attempting to login to the forums.  From the popup image, however it does appear (in the backgorund window for forums) that you are able to get to a logged in state for the forums?

I don't have any expanationfor the popup.  We don't have anything in place for the forums that would prompt a popup to another site.  Very strange.

This morning I typed the url for Autodesk's homepage and selected discussion groups from the pulldown menu and the error appeared.  I can also navigate to the subscription center and try to login and the same error appears.

    Eric,

I was unable to automatically login from my Favorites link in IE8 this morning.  The auto-login failed with an HTTPS failure. I then logged in normally without error.

    Thanks,

I had also same issue with Firefox. Only having screen with "Service unavailable" error when tried to browse the site.

I removed all Autodesk coocies from browser cache and now it works!

Thanks, that did the trick.  I can't believe I didn't think to try that.
