I notice that when quoting a post the cursor is located UNDER the quoted text.
I think that most here prefer 'top posting' ie having the quoted text at the bottom of the post.
1) Is it possible to have the 'Message Post Editor' configurable for individual users.
2) I want the Editor TextSize to honor the Display text settings. I see no point in having "Large" set for Display size in my settings and having the FontSize in the Editor display in a size I can't read.
On the issue of Font Size, I expect that if I have the font size set the editor will honor it during the post, at least untill I change it again ... that's not happening.
3) If I place a blank line in the editor when composing a post I expect the preview and post mechanism to honor my intent ... that's not happening.
4) I don't appreciate emoticons in my code, but an occasional
in a post may relieve the tension. Please fix this.
5) [added] What's the point in having a "Preview" option for a post If it doesn't preview the post as it will be posted. The post window is half as wide again as the preview window. Please fix this.

#4 is discussed in that thread, but not resolved. Kerry's point is still 100% valid as stated.

You can add the quote anytwhere in the post. Clicking "Quote" adds the quoteback text wherever your curser is at that time.
The post editor is not a configurable item.
Not clear what you mean on #3
I've addressed #4 (and have noted Steve's thoughts on the subject)
Agree, preview is not exactly the same because of the wider display of a posted topic. I don't see any discrepancies beyond auto-line wrapping (still preserves line breaks). From a formatting perspective, where else are you seeing this as problematic?

This is a line, followed by an empty line...
this is another line, which should demonstrate item #3 .. then another empty line.
re #4: yes I mean primarily the line wrapping discrepancy.
... looks like the #3 issue has been fixed, sneaky.

Actually the blank line issue isn't resolved.
It seems to be a problem when Font size is changed,
The attached illustrates :
during preview 2 blank lines reduced to one.
return to editor,
all blank lines removed.
