Is there a way to edit custom fields in design assistant

i created custom fields in ipt file, i like to know if i can edit these fields in the design assistant. usually you can select multiple files, then right click and select iproperties, from there you can change values to any field, but not the custom field, in fact custom fields only show up if you select one file and even with that it won't let you edit the custom field.
