About 40-50% of the time, when I click on any link anywhere on the forums, I get bounced to the home page at http://forums.autodesk.com/

I've noticed this all this week (can't recall if I had that problem last week.) Is this a bug in the system since the switch to the new forum format? Is this a problem with my web browser? (IE 7.0.5730.13CO on Windows XP, SP2, 32-bit)

What's up with that?! Very annoying.

Are you logged in?  Does it happen consistently, or only after a period of not using the forums?  It may be session time out that can be resolved by selecting "Keep Me Signed in" checkbox on the login screen.

Thanks. I will watch out for that. I'm not sure I was logged in most of the time that happened, though I can't swear to it. I'll try "keep me logged in" and see how it goes.
