Design Review 2013 Wish list items

Not sure where to put this information so if someone could please point out where i should, please let me know...

We have evaluated ADR 2013 and found that there wasnt much difference over all in the use of the 2013 version to the earlier version. However there are some issues that we were hoping would have changed.

Basically we use ADR constantly to markup drawings and to make/adjust figures used in reports.

First it is the ability to allocate a drawing order, that is, when using mark-ups it is rather annoying not being able to allocate on each individual object or to a group of object if it should appear on top of another object or in the back. This means that every time you select an object you might have to go back and re-select any relevant objects if they are supposed to appear in front (or on top) of the former object. In some cases this is not possible, see attached image.

The second issue we find with the Design Review is the constant appearing of the markup properties banner in the left hand side of the screen every time you select an object already marked up in the drawing. We have not been able to close this banner totally, it always appears whether you need to use it or not.

This is really annoying when working on a drawing, the workspace on the screen constantly getting reduced and this banner flickering on the side.

    Regards,

    Duncan

Regarding your second issue, have you tried this? Go into Options-General-Automatic Palette Launching - uncheck markup properties. That should hopefully work.

Thanks for the tip, it worked! Was that a new addition to 2013 or did it exist in 2012? Just need to get the first point sorted and I'll have some happy employees... Regards, Duncan
