    Issue: Unable to upload document
    Why: Necessary components didn't install
Quick Solution: Change level of Reference
Permanent Solution: add necessary components by logging into your PC as the computer admin

Uploading documents to Constructware PC will use either an Active X component or a Java component. Constructware has the flexibility to allow us to choose which component PC will use when uploading documents. If you experience an issue where you cannot upload a document please do the following:

    File Director Module
    Add File Button
You will receive a Add File Dialogue Box where you can browse to local files, close this window
You will receive a Constructware Add File Dialogue Box
Locate the field named: Levels of Reference What is the reference number?

When level of reference is set to 0 your PC is using Active X
When level of reference is set to anything other than 0 your PC is using Java

If your reference number is currently 0 change it to 1 click Continue. This should install the java component. Close Window
If your reference number is currently 1 through all change it to 0 click Continue. This should install the Active X component. Close Window.
Now go back to original module and try to reupload document as needed.

If during this process you are unable to change levels of references back and forth this will be due to components are not installing due to the security enabled within your PC network. Contact local IT department. Log into PC as computer admin and follow above steps.
