    Buzzsaw - Vault

We are a manufacturing company that was originally looking at Streamline for our collaboration needs. However when we took a side trip into the BuzzSaw environment, we decided that was the path (to implement) to follow. However in reviewing Streamline features again today, I discovered it (Streamline) can work with the vault and publish directly from it.

Does anybody know if ProductStream can do the same?

    Regards

Yes it can. Productstream is our release mgt system. Meaning once a part or assembly is released to mfg, productstream will lock the file down in Vault so no one can make changes to it because it is released. If you want to make changes then their is eco workflow built in to modify the revision.

Can Buzzsaw replace vault webclient. I mean can buzzsaw diplay all the files in the vault with same folder structure and also diplay properties associated with the files all published automatically from vault. And does the permission and users access from vault gets transfer automatically.

There is a new feature for Vault Collaboration 2012 and Buzzaw 2012 called called Vault Project Sync. This enables a Vault administrator to select a folder in the Vault and synchronize it with a folder on Buzzsaw, so that Vault files can be made available to project team members outside of your company.   See this link below for instructions on how to get Project Sync.
