hardware lock problem

Since I just added some ram to my PC I had to disconnect all peripherals
and hardware locks (ADST2 and 3DSViz3) to open it. Now, when I try to open
certain files with ADST2 it fails with "HARDWARE LOCK ERROR" message. If
I click on cancel button another message is shown: "FATAL ERROR: Please
re-install or replace the hardware lock for AutoCAD". I've already checked
the correct connection of the lock.

The 3DSViz3 hradware lock gives no problem!

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance for any help

Change the order that the hardware locks are
attached. Make ADST2 the 1st one attached.

Thank you Harry, but ADST2 hardware lock has always been the first attached.

Should I really reinstall ADST2 ? I hope there is some less annoying
procedure, because the event of momentarily detach the locks is not so
rare.

I had a similar problem with a third-party
application - it didn't find the lock but Autocad did....

Ended up downloading the latest driver for the
hardware lock (a sentinel) and it worked again - worth a try?
