Interns come up with some good ones,

I've got one machine that only display the autosnap marker for a fraction of a second. is this a sys. variable? I've checked all of the obvious options....can't find nothing. this machine appears to be set as mine is...however....

Yes they do.

So... you DID find SOMETHING then?
(sorry I was plagues by my 7th grade English teacher about double negatives.)

Are you using the same mouse and drivers on this machine? I've seen that effect
tool tips before (I think).

I had the same problem on a new install.
I don't know how I fixed it, but after loading all the menus and toying around with common setvars, and generally getting things the way I like them, it fixed itself.

I had the same trouble on one machine. Fixed itself on reboot.

This can happen when both the ACAD.CUI and the ADT.CUI are loaded at the
same time. It is recommended to transfer any commands/toolbars/etc... from
the ACAD.CUI into the ADT.CUI rather than load the entire ACAD.CUI.
Unexpected behavior can result form this.
