Wall Styles & Clean up Groups

What is the best way of using these two? I am starting from scratch. Generally I use the "Solid Fill" wall style. Should I be setting up different styes for interior & exterior Walls? of just use the varible for thickness & heights? What are the advantages & disavantages?

I have created:
Interior Wall 8' with clean-up group IW8 (interior Wall 8')
Interior Wall 8' with clean-up group IW9 (interior Wall 9')
you get the idea... am I making too much work?

Sounds like you're doing the least amount of work needed, actually. You
If you make int. and ext. walls different cleanup groups, they won't
clean up at all. I don't think that's what you want, at least it's not
what most want. For the walls to clean up correctly, the components of
the wall just need the same priority(which you can find by editing the
wall style). You can make different styles for int. and ext. walls, but
you don't have to make them different cleanup groups...make sense?

It all depends on how you work. I typically allow my interior walls to clean
up with exterior walls, when appropriate, so I don't separate them out by
cleanup groups.

Walls on different cleanup groups will NEVER clean up. You can also use
component priorities to control the cleanup more selectively (on a component
level vs. a wall level), keeping the walls on the same cleanup group.

Neither way is really more efficient than the other really. Again, it all
depends on what you are trying to accomplish and how much flexibility you
want between the two systems.

Sorry to butt in... with the new wall merge command it is possible to
cleanup walls from different cleanup groups. (Not that I would do that for
each interior/exterior wall intersection though)
