Problems with Endcaps with more than one component

Hi,

After the tutor on the training course showed us how to create wall endcaps
I created several.

Now all of a sudden - I can't seem to create ones with more than one
component.

I create the polylines anticlockwise and next to each other and pick set
from on the style manager. After selecting each component (and adding its
number etc) when I look at what been created in the view I can see only a
line and the list tab only shows details for component one.

But if I create an endcap with one component it works - the viewer shows it
correctly.

What am I doing wrong ???

Regards,
Kevin.

Ok - I've worked it out - It doesn't work from the style manager due to SP2.

... Surely it wouldn't be a difficult thing to release service pack 2.01
with this big fixed - I have probable wasted about 4 hours on this subject -
together with everybody else I'm sure that this is a lot of money ...

HI,

As I see it the
rules to creating the endcap are:-

1. Always make the wall component 1 the outside
leaf of the wall - i.e. the brickwork in your example.

2. Draw a section of the wall from left to
right.

3. Draw the endcaps for the components starting and
finishing to a common line ...

4. Make sure they are drawn clockwise -
important!

5. Don't leave any gaps (for a cavity perhaps) -
Each component for the wall must have an endcap. You can make an endcap
invisible by giving the PLINE a width.

6. Hope !!!

I haven't seen the example in the manual - but I
have uploaded a similar wall endcap to the customer files news group subject
"Endcap Rules" ...

Good luck !

Kevin.
