Mixed Rendering Modes of Objects

I'm setting up a site plan and we've build a land mass element using the drape command.

Is there any way to set the mass element to render as flat shaded, while we render the rest of the project (the buildings) in hidden line? All of those facet lines on the mass element are very distracting.

No way that I know of to really do this in the modeling window.

If you are wanting this as a final image then you could render each and
composite the two...
