Gyp Board Ceiling shown in Reflected Ceiling plan

Could someone educate me as to the best method to show a gyp board, or other solid surface ceiling in the reflected display rep? We use spaces and ceiling grids regularly, but would like to know if there is an efficient way to represent a solid surface ceiling next to a ceiling grid.
Currently I'll create different space styles for each different ceiling condition and alter each style's reflected display properties net hatch to represent the different ceilings. In doing so, however, I have to turn off the default reflected net hatch for the standard space style that we use for inserting the ceiling grid so that it won't print. Is there an easier way?

create a "AEC Polygon style" for GYP Ceiling in the style manager under
multi-purpose objects. Assign display properties you want for RCP and floor
plan.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the AEC Polygon doesn't have Display Props for Reflected or Plan, just Model. It will look the same in both display reps, which we don't want.

no, they have dis rep for both rcp and plan. Depending on how your system is
setup you may need to modify the display setting for RCP in the display
manger, but it should work. Just check the override boxes for the DR you
want to change.

Pardon my ignorance, but how do you modify the display settings for RCP in the Display Manager?

Go to format>display manager>sets and pick which display you want to change
pick reflected and go over to the right find AEC polygon and check the box
under reflected for AEc polygon.
You can also edit under "representations by object and then check and
uncheck where you want the AEC polygon to show up

Under the Reflected set, there sre only three boxes to check for AEC Polygons: Model, Model Screened and True Color. These are the only Display Props available for AEC Polygons. If I check all three boxes, all three sets of Display Props become active in the Reflected Display Rep. I don't see where I can add the Reflected display reps box to the AEC Polygons in order to check it in the reflected set.

how about "representation by object"? select AEC Polygon

Under "representation by object" I've got three rows of boxes; Model, Model Screened & True Color. Each has a box under all of the 16 columns of Display Sets. Only one box is checked per column, by checking more than one box per column, multiple Display Reps become active per Diplay Set.

Right-click on the Model representation to create a copy of it. Rename
the copy to Reflected. Check the box at the intersection of the
Reflected representation and the Reflected Set. In the Reflected set
column, make sure that only the one box is selected. Then you can set
your Reflected display configuration current, and when you edit the AEC
Polygon display properties the only bold (active) set will be Reflected.

if under configurations you do not have one called "reflected" you need to
create one. then under sets you should have one called "reflected" also, if
not create it. now you should be able to edit the aec the way you want.

Heck yes it is! AEC Polygons are so much better than polylines and hatches.
.-)
