Demand load Xref's default

I am connected to a network where more than one person is using the same Xref. However every time I open a new drawing, the demand load Xref's under options-open&save resets back to enable. I would like it to default to enable with copy so other people can use the same Xref at the same time.

Hello,

The XLOADCTL system variable is an Interger saved in the Registry. In order
to turn the demand loading on and open a copy of the reference file, this
variable must be set to 2.

Check your permissions - it's probably defaulting to 1 because you do not
have rights to make registry changes at this level.

Regards,
