Adding walls

Is there are way to tell Desktop to put some walls on layer "x" and other on layer "y" w/o using the display props? For instance "addwall" would add an exterior wall on layer "A-Wall" and in another instance would add an interior wall on "A-Wall-int" but not have to use the display props. Would a customized button allow this? Am I asking too much?

Thanks

Yes, set up a Layer Key Style.

Now,

Do you suggest to switch between Layer Key
Styles.

Or, could I assign a new Key to a specific style??

I think that would be best done using a layer key
override and I'm sure you could set up a toolbar button to switch between them
(and toggle them on and off).  Rob Starz also has a tool that he is
marketing to give you automated control of this.

Sorry, I just realized I gave you misinformation.
If you want to add something like 'demo' for items to be demolished, you can use
Layer Key Overrides (not layer key styles). When you draw walls with the 'demo'
override, the wall will be placed on layer A-Wall-Demo. Set A-Wall-Demo layer
for desired linetype & your all set.

I have also made demo objects using styles.

Sorry for the confusion & hope this makes sense
to you,
